Mama Hong’s is a Vietnamese restaurant located right in the middle of San Fernando Rd. in Burbank River Walk not far from the Burbank Mall. They their amazing food “To Go” for customers to enjoy at home or outside at one of their socially distanced tables along San Fernando. The seating is comfortable, and you are at a safe distance away from people walking between shops and from other customers. Feel free to walk in and order or place an order online – either way the food is just as good.
On an outing with a friend of mine, we went to Mama Hong’s recently for lunch. We ordered Thai iced teas, grilled pork chops, shrimp stir-fry, spring rolls, egg rolls, and fried shrimp. After a few minutes of waiting, we walked back inside to pick up our order and headed to one of the larger outside tables across the street. The food was great, we both easily made our way through the appetizers and our own entrees. Sitting in the sun and sipping on iced teas, we had a great time and enjoyed being out of the house.
It was easy to say that even with all the craziness and recent changes to the restaurant world, Mama Hong’s hasn’t changed at all. We had a delicious meal and sitting outside was a great way to comfortably catch up with a friend and watch as other people walk by to get lunch, shop, or work.
