I am a closet organic eater. I like my food clean, pure & simple. I don’t like added hormones, antibiotics, chemical fertilizers or any long unpronounceable words in the list of ingredients. So that’s why when I discovered Granville Restaurants (Burbank-Glendale-Studio City-Pasadena-West Hollywood), well, I was in hog-heaven so to speak. How did I even know about them, you ask? Well, I am a mystery shopper and I received an assignment for Granville in Burbank. My husband went with me & we absolutely fell in love with the place. When you walk up to the hostess station you immediately feel welcome & as though you’re part of the group. Sort of like when Norm walks into Cheers. I love the whole layout, very open & not crowded. The bar is out of the way & the kitchen is surrounded by windows so you can watch what’s going on in there! The booths are plenty & very comfy as well as the tables. Dishes, etc. are always spotless. You decide if you want inside or patio seating. Both have their benefits. I enjoy the fresh air of the patio as well as the comfort of the booths inside. Either way there’s nice, but not too loud, music playing. Everything from the floor to the ceiling is impeccable. Like brand new. The staff is amazing. So friendly & helpful. They work like a well-oiled machine. I can ask any server or wait person a question or for something I need & they do it without question. That’s all well & good but how’s the food? Granville sets the bar high on all of the above & they don’t lower it for the food. One of our favorites is the turkey sandwich. There’s actually a couple. I don’t know if it’s the free range turkey or the artisan bread & cheese but the flavors come together like a symphony in your mouth. When we first started going we’d try different dishes & were happily surprised, that, whether it was a hamburger, trout, salmon or pasta, they were all far above what we’d had in other restaurants. They honestly do not serve a dish that is less than melt-in-your-mouth delicious! To go with your meal they also serve organic coffee & espresso. Not being a coffee drinker, they also serve a huge variety of craft soft drinks & a water, G20, with cucumber & lemon infused that I love. Great wine & beer selection. For dessert try Lickity Split with bruleed bananas, port cherries, caramel, Kahlúa chocolate sauce & more.

Granville is absolutely my favorite place to dine in Burbank! They offer a variety of choices from their all organic menu, everything from fantastic salads, delicious juicy burgers, to outstanding pastas and dinner plates. Even for those with dietary restrictions, Granville has many offerings that are gluten free and vegan. I’ve been allowed to customize a plate with no problems at all. Food is always on point, as is the service! If you’ve never been, this place is a must!
