After a busy week, all of us at Burbank Area living like to start the weekend with a cold one. Some bars we enjoy like Gordon Biersch and Yard House are a good stop to meet up with a friend or two and can enjoy a comfortable space with great drinks.
Personally the last time I went to Yard house, My friends and I stayed for three hours and we had a great time. We were able to have drinks with appetizers, calamari and fries, and dinner ended with a great brownie like desert. Drinks were as you could imagine, pints of beer and cinder were brought out with cocktails. One of my new favorites is the Malibu Peach cocktail. Not only do these places have a good menu, but their bars are full of great drinks.
Other Local Bars, such as Tony’s Darts Away and the Story Tavern are great bars that are both in Downtown Burbank and on Magnolia Blvd. These places we have visited for lunch and dinner. At Tony’s Darts Away, their burgers are great and beers disappear almost as fast as they are brought out. Having lunch there the other day, I saw friends I haven’t seen in a few years walk in around the same time we did and was able to catch up with one another. These local bars are not only great places to go out too, but are a big part in the Burbank community. Tony’s has always been a favorite on Magnolia and tables get full fast with friends meeting up with one another.
